NDUGA - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Para Raider Infantry Battalion 503/Mayangkara Kostrad, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in Nduga Regency, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Tuesday, 24 September 2024, the 503 Task Forces conducted Social Communication (Komsos) with some youth of Kenyam District while conducting areal protection tasks.
Emphasizing the pivotal role of the community, Lieutenant Colonel Gurbasa Samosir, Commander of the 503 Task Forces, stressed the importance of the Task Forces’ focus on the community's fundamental needs in the assigned area. Therefore, on Tuesday, the Soldiers took advantage of the protection tasks through interaction and communication with Kenyam youth at the Church GPID Jerikho Kenyam. The 503 Task Forces conducted the interaction to practice music with Kenyam youth.

While maintaining their focus on security, the Soldiers took the opportunity to communicate in harmony with Kenyam youth at the Church GPID Jerikho Kenyam. In this communication, the Soldiers practiced music with Kenyam youth to support the smoothness of Sunday Service at the Church GPID Jerikho Kenyam. In response to the soldiers’ role, a youth, Matius Tabuni, said, "Thank you, Commander 503. We are happy to practice music together. God bless." This heartwarming response from the youth underscores the impact of the Army's efforts, as well as the unity and support in the assigned area, providing a sense of reassurance and security.
After receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, acknowledged the 503 Task Forces’ initiative to conduct social communication with Kenyam youth at the Church GPID Jerikho Kenyam. His words: "The 503 Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to conduct inclusive social communication with all stakeholders to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region."
